Time is App-solute
The theme of this year’s GFH calendar was based on the client’s new App. We reviewed the clients App to find the 12 most empowering and transformational features on which to base our illustrations. We hope you agree, the results are App-Solutely stunning.
GFH Calendar 2024 art direction
The 12 monthly calendar cards feature a unique, App feature-focussed illustration. The art direction of the images is iconic and playful, calling in elements from the brand and the UI. Each illustration captures a unique feature which GFH users will get the most out of; such as bitcoin wallet integration or smart advice from its AI investment advisor. Each card features a foiled illustration with foiled details on the reverse (calendar side). The monthly date is set in gold foil using Guardian Sans Text. All the images were hand crafted by some local lad. Each image builds on the last in terms of aesthetics.
GFH Calendar 2024 packaging
The title insert and 12 monthly cards are set into a trough within a copper acrylic base, finished in matt black with silver logo detailing. The copper base also features a logo detail, silk screened onto the smoothly textured acrylic and machined-finished base.
The copper foil illustration and typography is impressed onto Curious Touch Blue paper, bound over a hard case with a magnetic closure and blue ribbon release device.
Copper foil title blocks are featured on the opening side using Guardian Sans Text. For a more technical look, we are using the Agate version of Guardian Sans in the smaller sizes. It foils well on the Curious Touch Blue paper. The calendar packaging and accompanying notebook both feature the same master graphic element and typographic title – App-solute Transformation.
